Day 12 (05-04-2020)
To Lose is to Win
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. This quote is a very inspirational one. Many people have been following this in order to gain something better in their lives. But, i found a flaw in this, as per my thinking. so please do not worry about me fetching flaws in people. That's my way of seeing it and i will share why i feel so. So, before giving my insight into this and explaining what i felt, ask yourself, what inspires you? Inspiration can be both good or bad, it is you who will decide what to gain. How to access the good inspiration from the bad and how to gain bad inspiration from the good.
So coming back to the quote and the flaw i found in it. The quote states to never give up and prefers to not stop when the problem is at high volume and the pressure is too much. That is what we have been taught, the society, parents, teachers and our gurus. Never give up and keep striving till you achieve it. Now, i ask all of them, i ask you all who are reading this and i ask myself, is it worth? Striving till the very end, exhausting yourself to such extent that nothing seems of value now.
Let me give a real life example. My beloved Mom, keeps on saying that now that we have a big house, your Dad and I gave everything in our power to make what all we have today. But to no use, we have everything but now my health is not the same, i can't sleep well. I used have a great sleep when i used to live in that two-room house and ate mutton after a week or so. Now, we have mutton, chicken almost everyday, a 7-8 room house but feels of no worth.
This hits me very hard every time I ponder upon this. She makes me understand that, even though it is very necessary to strive hard and never give up but one should not give up his peace, health, energy, relations and soul in order to gain that. By the end, you'll achieve what you were striving for but you'll lose something way more important. Something, for which, you can't now strive and gain as it is unattainable. None of us have given this a thought yet, the circle we have put ourselves tells us only one thing, you've to win and to be number one, all the time. No one has ever told us, even me, that sometimes losing is okay. It is fine that if you can't achieve something, fine if you lose something, fine if you come second, third or even last. The only thing that matters is, you're giving it a shot.
For years, in fact for centuries, we have been taught that you're to be remembered if you are the best, the number one. Have you ever thought, why do you want to be remembered, this world is going to finish, today or tomorrow. It is perfectly fine if no one even knows you. If you've lived your life to the fullest, nothing else matters. So, next time, you lose, you come second or you stand last be happy that you were a part of it. Wherein, many of the people who are cheering and were capable of participating, never tried.
Till then Bon Voyage guys, Sayonara!!
P.S. Today's positive is that, To lose is to Win. You win the time, the people, the peace and the soul. For, all of this is more important than winning the thing you were striving for. Do not fear to lose rather accept it with all of your heart and move on with a smile for life ends in a blink of an eye.
