Day 31 (24-04-2020)
What's your blessing?
And the king of all the month's has arrived. It's Ramadan and the Muslim Ummah is rejoicing all over the globe for its the month of blessings. Ramadan comes from the root word ramad which means that which is intensely or vehemently heated by the sun. And the word ramdhaa which means the intense heat of the sun. The Arabs used to say about the sheeps that they were burned while they were grazing under the scorching heat of the sun to the extent that their livers became damaged by the intense heat of the sun. Ramadan was named such because it burns the sins of the believers. For the whole month, the believers tend to live a life which is more pious than rest of the year. Not to forget, this pious life isn't to be lived only for this one month but the whole lifetime. The question by the end remains, what's your blessing?
A blessing for a muslim is that he or she got a chnace to fast again in the month of Ramadan. This is a very big thing for a believer as it gives them a chance to be close to their Almighty Allah and enjoy the numerous and unlimited blessings. The blessings in the form of delicious food by the time of breaking their fast or upon suhoor. The blessings in the form of getting their prayers answered quickly and becoming more pious than before.
But wait, the real blessings are missed out. The Almighty Allah wants you to spend more time with your family. To sit with them, help them in the daily chorus, eat with them and pray with them. This is the real blessing that we all miss out on and forget to thank our Almighty Allah for it.
When the Father, the Mother, the Son, the Daughter or the Daughter in law sit down and pass on the plate of Dates to each other, it's a sight of immense love. One has to understand this blessings and thank his Almighty Allah for making it possible for an individual to have such a life wherein the whole year he or she is busy in such a way that even food is either leftover or eaten from outside.
Another such blessing is to know what a person or a family, who have no good means to eat and live, survive with a smile on their face. This month of Ramadan, when you fast, it's the rememberance of such people that we've to ponder upon. For these, people or families, are thankful to Almighty Allah, under all circumstances. But many a times, we as individuals or a family, who are bestowed with all the blessings of Allah, we pay no heed to thank our Creator.
Our lord Almighty, is in no need of our gratitude or prayers, as it'll pay no impact to the Creator but it's us who are given things and blessings in such a count that too without asking but our selfishness and greed makes us be not only less thankful rather arrogant that we've had less.
Ponder upon the above mentioned things and blessings, for its not only for muslims but for all other faiths as well. The message from our lord is same, the Almighty has bestowed us with such unlimited blessings that we're relentlessly unthankful.
If i've got a plane, the person in a car is unthankful, if I've got a car, the person on a bike is unthankful, if I've got a bike, the person on a scooter is unthankful, if I've got a scooter, the person on a cycle is unthankful, if I've got a cycle, the person walking barefoot is unthankful and if I'm walking barefoot the person who has got no legs is unthankful, so on and so forth.
That's why it's mentioned is all major religions including Islam that if you ever get distracted away from your faith, look at the people who are below you not the upper ones and you'll reclaim the faith back.
Till then Bon Voyage guys, Sayonara!!
P. S. Today's positive is that we always be thankful to our Creator and feel blessed enough for we're breathing, eating, earning, enjoying the bestest of the life out there.
